G. Tukai Museum Complex

The museum complex consists of three buildings: the main two-story building was built by an unknown architect in the second half of the XIX century on the model of buildings built in those days in Kazan; a one-story administrative building and the Tatar Cultural Center.

The last two buildings were built in 2006.

G. Tukai lived in Uralsk for 12 years. All these years, he was closely associated with the Tukhvatullin family, used their rich library. The head of the family, Hazret Mutyigullatukhvatullin, was a senior teacher of the madrasah, which functioned at the "Red Mosque" and a teacher of the city of Tukay.

In the basement of the house there was an editorial officer and printing house of the newspaper "Fiker" ("Thought") and the satirical magazine"Uklar"("Arrows").

On the wall of the house in 1976, a memorial plaque was installed, confirming that the house is a historical monument of the city's culture. On the second floor of the main building of the museum there are expositions of the halls of the city.Tukaya and the city centerTukaya, as well as Tukhvatullin's office.
