Monument "Border Europe-Asia"

It is located near the bridge across the Ural River. The Ural River symbolically flows between Europe and Asia, and is the water boundary separating these two parts of the world.

The "Europe-Asia Border" monument was erected in 1984. It is located at the entrance to the city from the airport. The author of the project is A. Golubev. The monument is a stele consisting of three vertical elements, on which two reinforced concrete belts and a decorative ornamental element are strung. The entire composition is completed by a symbolic globe, surrounded by a three-dimensional inscription "Europe-Asia". The vertical elements and the horizontal belt are lined with white and gray marble.
