House of the Kuznetsovs, where E. Pugachev visited, now a house-museum
The house was built after the "Shilikhin fire" (approximately in the middle of the 18th century) by a middle-class Cossack, Pyotr Mikhailovich Kuznetsov. The “Yaitskaya Tsaritsa” was born and lived here - the second wife of E.I. Pugacheva - Ustinya Kuznetsova, later imprisoned by Catherine II in the Kexholm fortress. During the siege of the Yaik fortress in 1774, E.I. Pugachev visited this house. A library is located in one room, the interior of a middle-class Cossack family is decorated in the other.
