Former Strauss Pharmacy, now Pharmacy No. 1 and Music School
The building was built in the second half of the 19th century (presumably in 1868). A pharmacy was located on the first floor, and the second floor was used for apartments - the family of the owner of the pharmacy (Strauss) lived. In the city of Uralsk in the second half of the 19th century there were 2 private pharmacies, including this pharmacy. The first floor with a basement is occupied by a pharmacy to this day. On April 2, 1919, the Yaitsky regional department of the State Control was located on the second floor. In 1944, a children's music school No. 3 was opened on the second floor (since 1977, a music school No. 3), from 1944-1949, a music school was located along with the school - the first educational institutions in the region that provide musical education. Roza Dzhamanova, People's Artist of the USSR, studied at the music boarding school No. 1, and then at the school from 1945 to 1949.
